“Steve and his team are fantastic. First off, TRUST Steve when he tells you the charts are wrong and there is plenty of depth. I was skeptical about this but his local knowledge was spot on and we had no issues. Additionally, Steve’s communication was prompt, informative and useful. His team met us on the dock to assist and the facility is in good shape. Great area for dog walking and Steve’s recommendation to visit the Croton Dam was awesome. You can’t miss the dam!”

“Over past few years we have made several trips up the Hudson from the Navesink River in NJ. We ALWAYS make sure that we spend at least 1 night at Half Moon Bay Marina. The marina offers everything any boater could want...protected, clean, safe dockage with all amenities; walking distance to shops and restaurants beautiful setting; nearby parks; lots of local events; and much more! However, what makes HMB marina so special is dockmaster Steve who makes you feel like family. He is helpful, courteous, will do anything to make your stay enjoyable, takes incredible pride in maintaining the marina and always makes our stay fun. We have sent several of our NJ boating friends to HMB and they all came back with rave reviews. We can’t wait to head back to HMB in the coming weeks!”

“Intended to stay two nights but had so much fun in the area we added another night. Very clean, well maintained docks and restrooms. After turning in our Enterprise rental car, we ended up taking the Metro North train there up to the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park. Steve and his assistant Ally, are two of the most helpful people we have encountered running a marina anywhere. They are always available all day/eve. Handy Enterprise rentals, Uber, Metro North train and taxi service. Croton Dam is a must-see. Highly recommend marina as anything you could want is at your fingertips.”

“We stopped at Half Moon both on our way up to Lake Chaplain and on our return voyage down the Hudson. The nearby train station and rental car office made it a convenient location to visit nearby friends and NYC.
The marina is located in a bay with a wave wall that limits wind and wave action from the river. This is an important feature not enjoyed by many marinas along the river.
Shoreline facilities are shared with the private workout room but the heads and showers are limited but clean. The walking and biking trail along the shore provides an opportunity to get some exercise.
We found Steve, the manager, to be very helpful and he made every effort to make certain we had a nice stay at this marina”
